Hi, I’m Shamylla — the founder of Accountico, CIMA qualified accountant with over 15 years’ experience, and someone who genuinely loves helping people feel confident with their finances.

My path into accounting has been shaped by real life more than anything else. I didn’t grow up dreaming of balance sheets, but over time I realised how much clarity, control, and peace of mind good financial understanding can give people — especially when they’re trying to build something for themselves. That’s what pulled me into the world of accounting, and it’s why I care so much about doing things properly, honestly, and in a way that actually supports people.

I’m big on keeping things human. I don’t do cold corporate vibes or confusing jargon — I’d much rather have a conversation, understand what you’re trying to achieve, and help you get there step by step. Our clients know me for being warm, approachable, and straight-talking. If something needs sorting, I’ll tell you. If something can wait, I’ll tell you that too. You’ll always know where you stand with me.

Outside of work, I’m a single mum to a very energetic two-year-old who completely changed the rhythm of my life — in the best way. Before that, I was hiking mountains, doing challenges, and running regularly. I still try to keep that part of me alive, even if it’s now with a toddler on my back and slightly shorter routes! (Check out some of my adventures here) It’s taught me resilience, patience, and just getting on with things even when you’re tired — all qualities that spill over into how I run my business.

Accountico is simply the platform I use to do what I love: support people. Yes, it’s an accountancy practice — but at its core, it’s just us, working closely with clients, building genuine relationships, and helping take the fear and overwhelm out of finances.
